The Path to Home Ownership
The process of achieving home ownership involves the following steps:
- Review all of the information on this website.
- Contact the office at 828-733-1909 with any questions.
- Contact the office to submit an application.
- Participate in the Family Interview. CLICK HERE to review the Family Selection Criteria.
- Participate in Homeowners Education classes.
- Review specifications for the home.
- Complete a contract with ACHFH.
- Accomplish 250 hours of sweat equity per adult in the household.
- Complete the closing process.
