Get Involved

Avery County Habitat for Humanity depends on volunteers!!!! We offer many opportunities that match a wide variety of interests and skills.

Construction:

Habitat construction sites operate (weather permitting) Monday through Friday. Weekend workdays for volunteer groups are also available upon request. Always call the office first to determine when and where the work is taking place. People with all skill levels are welcome!

Individuals: Join a crew that volunteers consistently on specific days of the week. Currently we have crews working on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If you are volunteering independently, these groups are a great way to get involved.

Small Groups – 5-15 People: Teams from churches, companies and organizations are welcome. Work can be scheduled during the week and on weekends. Please contact the office for scheduling.

Large Groups – 15+ People: Large groups from churches, colleges, companies and organizations can accomplish a lot in a short time. ACHFH offers accommodations for up to 35 people at the Gilmer Retreat Center. Please contact the office for more information.
